- Whole green gram - 1/2 cup
- Tomato (Finely chopped) - 1/2 Cup
- Onion (Finely chopped) - 1/2 Cup
- Lemon Juice - 1 Tbsp
- Mustard seeds - 1/2 Tsp
- Cumin Seeds - 1/2 Tsp
- Split Black gram - 1/2 Tsp
- Curry Leaves - 7/8
- Asafoetida - 1 Pinch
- Turmeric - 1 Pinch
- Green chili - 2
- Fresh grated coconut - 1/4 Cup
- Oil
- Salt
Procedure :
- Soak green grams for 5-6 hours.
- Cook in pressure cooker without water.
- Heat oil in a pan.
- Add mustard seeds to splutter.
- Add cumin seeds, split black gram, turmeric and asafoetida.
- Add green chili and curry leaves, fry till it turns golden.
- Add coconut and cooked green gram.
- Add salt and mix well.
- Close the lid and cook for 2 min.
- Mix lemon juice.
- Garnish with onion, tomato.
