- Okra -1 Cup
- Onion - 1/2 Cup
- Kokum(aamsul)- 2
- Grated coconut - 1 Tbsp
- Red chili powder - 1/2 Tbsp
- Turmeric - 1/8 Tbsp
- Asafoetida - 1 Pinch
- Mustard seeds
- Cumin seeds
- Curd - 1/2 Tsp
- Oil
- Salt
Procedure :
- Wash, wipe and cut okra.
- Chop onion.
- Heat oil in a pan.
- Add mustard seeds to splutter.
- Add cumin seeds, asafoetida and onion.
- Fry onion till it turns golden.
- Add kokam and fry.
- Add okra, mix well.
- Do not cover and cook.
- Add curd and salt when it is half cooked.
- When okra get cooked, add grated coconut and mix it.
- Serve with chapati.
