Samosa


Ingredients :

  • Potato - 2
  • Green peas - 1/2 Cup
  • Green Chili - 2
  • Garam masala - 1 Tsp
  • Cumin seeds - 1/2 Tsp
  • Amchur Powder - 1 Tsp
  • Coriander seeds powder - 1 Tbsp
  • Red Chili powder - 1/2 Tsp
  • Turmeric - 1 Pinch
  • All purpose wheat flour (Maida) - 1 Cup
  • Semolina - 1 Tbsp
  • Oil
  • Salt
Procedure :
  1. Take all purpose wheat flour, add salt and 1 Tsp oil, mix well.
  2. Add water and prepare dough.
  3. Keep aside for 20 min.
  4. Boil potato, cut into small pieces.
  5. Chop green chili finely.
  6. Heat 1 Tbsp oil.
  7. Add Cumin seeds to Splutter
  8. Add green peas and fry well.
  9. Add green chili, turmeric, coriander seeds powder and garam masala and mix well.
  10. Add potato and salt.
  11. Mix well and taste it.
  12. Add red chili powder if required.
  13. Keep aside for cooling.
  14. Make small rounds of dough.
  15. Roll to make a round.
  16. Cut the round in two parts as shown.
  17. Apply water to the edges.
  18. Make cone as shown.
  19. Hold it like ice cream cone.
  20. Fill potato stuffing.
  21. Press lightly by hands.
  22. Fold as shown.
  23. Press the edges firmly.
  24. Samosa is ready.
  25. Heat oil in a pan.
  26. Deep fry samosas till color changes to golden brown.
  27. Serve hot with Tamarind chutney and Pudina chutney.
