Alu Paratha

Ingredients :

  • Potato -1
  • Green chili Paste(Chili Powder) - 1/2 Tbsp
  • Garlic Paste - 1 Tbsp
  • Coriander Powder - 1 Tbsp
  • Turmeric
  • Coriander leaves
  • Lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
  • Wheat flour - 1 Cup
  • Salt
  • Butter/Ghee
  • Oil

Procedure :

  1. Boil potato, remove skin and mash well.
  2. Take wheat flour, add salt, 1 tbsp oil and prepare a loose dough. Keep aside.
  3. Heat oil in a pan.
  4. Add green chili paste, garlic paste, coriander powder, turmeric and fry well.
  5. Add mashed potato and mix well.
  6. Add salt, lemon juice and chopped coriander leaves.
  7. Mix well, close lid and cook for 1 min.
  8. Cool it and prepare small rounds as shown.
  9. Apply oil to palm and prepare small rounds of dough.
  10. Spread flour on the rolling surface and prepare small round shape using rolling pin.
  11. Put Potato round over it and close it. (Procedure is shown in Puran Poli recipe)
  12. Roll the dough like chapati.
  13. Roast both the sides of paratha.
  14. Apply Butter or Ghee after removing from pan.
  15. Serve it with Yogurt or coconut chutney.
