Shevaya Upama

Ingredients :

  • Shevaya(vermicelli)- 1/2 Cup
  • Onion - 1/4 Cup
  • Peanuts - 1 Tsp
  • Green chili - 1
  • Mustard seeds - 1/2 Tsp
  • Lemon juice - 1 Tsp
  • Oil
  • Salt

Procedure :

  1. Boil water with 2 drops of oil.
  2. Put shevaya and cook.
  3. Drain water and wash vermicelli with cold water. Keep aside.
  4. Heat oil in a pan.
  5. Add mustard seeds to splutter.
  6. Add green chili and peanuts.
  7. Add onion and fry till it turns golden.
  8. Add vermicelli and salt.
  9. Cover the lid for 1 min.
  10. Turn off the stove and add lemon juice.
  11. Serve hot.
