Tomato Saar

Ingredients :

  • Tomato diced - 1/2 Cup
  • Water - 1/2 Cup
  • Coconut grated - 1 Tbsp
  • Ginger-garlic paste - 1/2 Tsp
  • Green chili - 1
  • Cumin seeds - 1/2 Tsp
  • Asafoetida - 1/2 pinch
  • Jaggery - 1/2 Tsp
  • Coriander leaves
  • Salt
  • Ghee - 1 Tsp

Procedure :

  1. Boil tomato in water.
  2. Mash it by hands.
  3. Add coconut and mix well.
  4. Heat ghee in a pan.
  5. Add cumin seeds to splutter.
  6. Add asafoetida, ginger garlic paste.
  7. Add jaggery, salt and coriander leaves.
  8. Boil for 2 min.
  9. Serve hot with Rice or Khichadi
