Rajma (Red bean curry)


Ingredients :
  • Red beans - 1/2 Cup
  • Tomato - 1/2 Cup
  • Onion - 1/2 Cup
  • Garlic - 1/2 Tsp
  • Ginger - 1/2 Tsp
  • Red Chili Powder - 1/2 Tsp
  • Garam Masala - 1/2 Tsp
  • Coriander seeds powder - 1/2 Tsp
  • Turmeric - 1 Pinch
  • Oil
  • Salt

Procedure :

  1. Soak red beans overnight.
  2. Cook in a pressure cooker on medium heat up to 4-5 whistles.
  3. Grind onion, tomato, ginger and garlic to prepare paste.
  4. Heat oil in a pan.
  5. Add paste and fry well.
  6. Add red chili powder, garam masala, turmeric and coriander seeds powder and mix well.
  7. Add cooked red beans.
  8. Add 1 cup water and salt.
  9. Cover the lid and cook for 3-4 min.
  10. Serve hot with chapati or rice.
