- Idli Rava - 2 Cup
- Split black gram(urad dal) - 1 Cup
- Oil
- Salt
Procedure :
- Soak split black gram and Idli rava separately for 3-4 hours.
- Soak idli rava in warm water.
- Grind black gram to prepare fine smooth paste.
- If idli rava is very fine, squeeze idli rava and add in the black gram paste directly.
- If it is not very fine, squeeze it, grind and then add in the black gram paste.
- Keep aside for more than 12 hours.
- Add salt as per taste.
- Grease the idli stand with oil.
- Pour the batter and steam for 10-15 minutes.
- Serve hot with Sambar and Coconut Chutney.
Note :
- Fermentation process is very necessary to prepare idli. Keep idli batter in warm place.
