Ingredients :
- Split red gram/Yellow lentil(Tur dal) - 1/2 Cup
- Tomato - 1/2 Cup
- Vegetables - 1 Cup
- Curry leaves - 4-5
- Coriander leaves - 1/4 Cup
- Sambar masala - 1 Tbsp
- Red chili powder - 1/2 Tbsp
- Mustard seeds - 1/2 Tsp
- Cumin seeds - 1/2 Tsp
- Fenugreek seeds - 4-5
- Asafoetida(Hing) - 1 Pinch
- Turmeric - 1 Pinch
- Water - 3 Cups
- Tamarind Juice (Thick)- 1 Tbsp
- Jaggery - 1 Tbsp
- Oil - 2 Tbsp
- Salt
Procedure :
- Wash Tur dal, add diced tomato, turmeric and water and cook in a pressure cooker.
- Mash tur dal and add water.
- Cut onion lengthwise.
- Cut all vegetables (cauliflower, carrot, Potato, beans, drumsticks, pumpkin,.. ..) lengthwise.
- Heat oil in a pan.
- Add mustard seeds to splutter.
- Add cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds, curry leaves and asafoetida.
- Add onion and fry.
- Add all vegetables, mix well.
- Add chopped tomatoes.
- Close the lid and cook for 3-4 min.
- Add sambar masala and mix well.
- Add tur dal solution.
- Add tamarind juice, jaggery, red chili powder and salt.
- Boil for 3-4 min.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
