Ingredients :
- Split black gram - 1 Tbsp
- Split green gram - 1 Tbsp
- Split red lentil - 1 Tbsp
- Split red gram/ yellow lentil - 1 Tbsp
- Bengal gram - 1 Tbsp
- Grated Coconut - 1 Tbsp
- Coriander leaves
- Curry leaves
- Fenugreek seeds - 2-3
- Mustard seeds - 1/4 Tbsp
- Cumin seeds - 1/4 Tbsp
- Asafoetida - 1 Pinch
- Garlic paste - 1/2 Tbsp
- Red chili powder - 1/2 Tsp
- Rassam Powder - 1 Tsp
- Tamarind juice(thick) - 1 Tbsp
- Jaggery - 1/2 Tsp
- Turmeric - 1 Pinch
- Ghee/Oil
- Salt
Procedure :
- Wash all grams, add turmeric and cook in a pressure cooker.
- Mash the gram and add water.
- Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds and cumin seeds to splutter.
- Add fenugreek seeds,asafoetida, ginger paste, curry leaves and fry well
- Add grated coconut.
- Add the gram solution.
- Add red chili powder, rassam powder, tamarind juice, salt and jaggery.
- When it starts boiling add coriander leaves.
- Boil for 2 min.
- Serve hot with rice or chapati.
