Ingredients :
- Cabbage - 1 Cup
- Gram flour(Besan) or All purpose wheat flour - 1 Tbsp
- Onion(Diced) - 1/2 Cup
- Tomato(Diced) - 1/2 Cup
- Ginger(Grated) - 1/2 Tsp
- Cinnamon Powder - 1/2 Tsp
- Cardamom - 1
- Cloves -1
- Cumin seeds powder -1/4 Tsp
- Coriander seeds powder - 1/2 Tsp
- Red chili powder - 1/2 Tsp
- Turmeric - 1 Pinch
- Sugar - 1/2 Tsp
- Coriander leaves
- Oil
- Salt
Procedure :
- Chop cabbage finely, add some salt and keep aside for 5 min.
- Add besan or all purpose wheat flour and mix well.
- Prepare small rounds by applying oil on the palms.
- Deep fry in oil.
- Prepare a smooth paste of onion, tomato, ginger and cardamom.
- Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan, add paste.
- Add little amount of water if require.
- Add turmeric, coriander powder, cumin powder, red chili powder, sugar and salt.
- When it start boiling add the fried balls.
- Close the lid and cook for few minutes.
- Garnish with finely chopped coriander.
- Serve hot with chapati.

ReplyDeleteMade just one addition-added a handful of cashews to the tomato+onion puree for a more creamy texture :)
