Mung Bhaje

Ingredients :

  • Split green gram( Mung dal) - 1 Cup
  • Green Chili - 2
  • Cumin seeds - 1 Tbsp
  • Coriander leaves - 1/2 Cup
  • Garlic cloves - 3-4
  • Turmeric - 1/4 Tsp
  • Asafoetida - 1/2 Tsp
  • Salt
  • Oil.

Procedure :

  1. Soak Split green gram for 4-5 hours.
  2. Grind split green gram, cumin seeds, asafoetida, green chili, garlic in a blender.
  3. Add turmeric, salt and finely chopped coriander leaves, mix well.
  4. Heat oil in a deep pan.
  5. Fry small size bhaje till it becomes golden brown.
  6. Keep it on paper napkin for 1 min.
  7. Serve hot with tamarind chutney or yogurt.
