Ingredients :
- Tomato -2
- Red Chili -2
- Rassam Powder - 1 Teaspoon
- Tamarind - 1 Inch
- Curry Leaves - 3-4 leaves
- Coriander leaves(Cilantro)
- Ghee - 1 Teaspoon
- Fenugreek seeds (Methi)-4-5
- Asafoetida (Hing) - 1 Pinch
- Cumin seeds -1/2 Teaspoon
- Mustard seeds -1/2 Teaspoon
- Brown Sugar (jaggery) - 2 Tablespoons
- Tur Dal -1 Tablespoon (Cooked)
- Garlic Paste - 1 Teaspoon
- Soak Tamarind.
- Boil Tomato and peel off its skin.
- Make Puree of tomato in a mixer or blender.
- Strain tomato using Strainer.
- Mash tamarind & strain it.
- Take 1 Cup water in a bowl. Add tomato puree,tamarind juice and rassam powder.
- Heat ghee in a pan.
- Add cumin seed,mustard seeds to splutter in oil.
- Add garlic paste, fenugreek seeds, curry leaves, red chili and asafoetida.
- Add tomato-tamarind mixture, brown sugar and salt.
- In a bowl mix cooked tur dal with 2 tbsp water.
- Add the mixture in the pan when it starts boiling.
- Add coriander leaves.
- Boil it for 5 min.
