Chana Chat

Ingredients :

  • Whole bengal gram(chana) - 1 Cup
  • Chala masala - 1 Tbsp
  • Mustard seeds - 1/2 Tsp
  • Green chili (finely chopped) - 2
  • Turmeric - 1 Pinch
  • Asafoetida - 1 Pinch
  • Onion diced - 1/2 Cup
  • Tomato diced - 1/2 cup
  • Coriander leaves
  • Lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
  • Oil
  • Salt

Procedure :

  1. Soak Chana overnight.
  2. Cook in pressure cooker without adding water.
  3. Heat oil in the pan.
  4. Add mustard seeds to splutter.
  5. Add green chili and fry well.
  6. Add asafoetida, turmeric and chana.
  7. Fry well.
  8. Add chana masala and salt.
  9. Cover the lid and cook for 2 min.
  10. Garnish with tomato, onion, coriander leaves and lemon juice.
